Five documented steps

From storm concern to completed roof.

Each step has a defined owner, record and decision point. The homeowner and carrier manage the insurance claim; Majestic manages the roofing evidence and construction scope.

01

Protect people and the property

If a tree, open hole or active leak creates an immediate hazard, the first call may need to be 911, the utility, fire department or a qualified tree/structural professional. Majestic then confirms whether roof access is safe. When weather and conditions permit, temporary tarping may help limit additional water entry; the homeowner should preserve time-stamped photos, invoices and receipts.

02

Inspect the roof as a complete system

At the appointment, the technician first asks what happened, when it was noticed and which rooms are affected. The inspection can connect safe interior or attic evidence with the exterior roof area, then review accessible slopes, shingles, ridge and hip caps, valleys, flashing, pipe boots, vents, skylights, gutters, fascia, soffit and visible decking. Unsafe or inaccessible areas are clearly noted.

03

Build a factual construction record

Majestic organizes wide-location photos, detail photos, notes, estimated measurements, roof geometry, affected components, material observations and the proposed repair or replacement scope. Visible storm patterns are separated from age, maintenance, installation details and hidden conditions. The record explains physical roofing work without interpreting the insurance policy.

04

Prepare for and coordinate the adjuster visit

The homeowner reports the event, opens the claim and schedules the carrier’s adjuster. With homeowner authorization and a confirmed appointment, Eric or another Majestic representative may attend the property to identify the same documented roof locations, answer technical construction questions and explain the contractor estimate. The carrier independently evaluates cause, coverage and payment.

05

Resolve construction scope, build and close out

Majestic compares its roofing scope with the available carrier estimate. If documented quantities or necessary construction components differ, the company may submit a factual contractor supplement with measurements, photos and supporting construction details. After the homeowner approves the written agreement, Majestic schedules materials and installation, completes cleanup and provides final photos, invoice, applicable warranty and requested completion documents.

What happens at the property

What the free inspection appointment includes.

The goal is a clear, repeatable inspection—not a rushed photo from one roof spot. Safe access and property conditions determine which observations can be completed.

01

Ten-minute roof interview

We record the event, discovery time, weather conditions, active leaks, prior repairs and the rooms or exterior sides involved.

02

Safety and access plan

The technician identifies electrical, tree, structural, surface, slope and weather risks before choosing ground, ladder, roof, attic or drone viewpoints.

03

Context before close-ups

Overview photos establish each slope and roof feature. Detail images then document the exact location and visible condition without relying on isolated marks.

04

Component-by-component review

Shingles, caps, valleys, flashing, penetrations, ventilation, decking indicators and attached drainage components are reviewed as one system.

05

Same-day explanation

Majestic explains what was observed, what remains unknown, whether temporary work is recommended and the next repair, replacement or documentation step.

06

Written handoff

The homeowner receives available photos, report, estimated measurements and the written roofing path so the next decision is based on the same factual record.

Observable roof conditions

What storm damage can look like.

These are educational inspection examples—not photographs of a specific Majestic customer and not promises that a policy covers the condition. Select any image for safety steps, a detailed arrival process and repair options.

The contractor scope

A roofing scope should explain the physical work—not the policy.

Majestic organizes the construction facts so the homeowner, contractor and carrier can review the same roof components and quantities.
